So, those two and a half weeks went past quickly! My boss commented recently that my life is very full and that I do 'lot's of lovely, varied things'. She is right, and those lovely things have mean this is the first time I've been able to sit down and blog.
I have had everything scheduled to the half hour for the past two weeks, trying to clean the flat and get it ready for Christmas, make presents, see friends, go to numerous gigs, have afternoon tea with some lovely lady bloggers and my sister and aunt, an of course, work. It has been entirely worth it. Now, in a moment of calm I am sitting in my bedroom with the fairy lights on the tree twinkling away, eating a mince pie and thinking about how thoroughly brilliant my life is.

Today, I have the day off work and I have the cold. I am 'taking it easy' as Dave would say, watching Christmas films, drinking hot spiced tea and intending to make some felt bunting.
Christmas time is very much here.
It is currently light for what feel like about 4 hours per day, and even then, the flat doesn't let much in. These photos are a bit dark but are about as good as it gets...

I got Gus a lego advent calendar for 2011 and he loved it but I think for 2012 I want to make my own advent calendar which is reusable.
