And so now it is Sunday. Dave and I are managing to (and have for financial reasons, to) balance life a bit more, and have much more time at home. It means we don't see family as often as we did as we don't travel down to Paisley as often, but it also means we don't spend every waking minute trying to squeeze more in, and that is a nice feeling. As autumn has set in, weekend days when we are free have found a bit of a pattern, and Sundays are quiet and spent at home (We generally go out for a bit of the day on a Saturday if it's not to weathery). Dave spends every Sunday he can having a jimjam day and has a lie-in. I still have my quite hour to myself in the morning, listening to the radio and reading. We listen to music, I cook and bake, I watch a period drama or two (aren't they the most Sundayish of things?) and do little bits of housework - perhaps the only bonus of a kitchen-and-living room is being able to do both - getting ready for the week ahead. I tend to make a wee something, and just now am making little bits for Christmas. Dave does music related things. We eat together and in the evening and often watch a film together. This time spent quietly together, relaxing, really sets us up for the coming week.We will hopefully have children in the future, and of course some of these things will remain, but we won't have many opportunities to have a lie-in or watch a DVD for two hours. We are making the most of the time we have where we can be just a little bit selfish.
