... has the grumps!

I just found out that at Uni, they haven't transfered me to the register of the BA course I was supposed to graduate from this month. I'm still registered as BEd student, and the person who agreed to me switching over is no longer at the Uni. This means that there now isn't time to do it before graduation, and that I will have to wait till next year!

I suppose people might think it is a little thing to get annoyed about, but I think having done all the work, I should be allowed to have the fancy ceremony in the big hall and have people clap. At the very least I should get the wee bit of paper that says I've done it!

I had a bit of an angry cry, then I emailed the head tutor from the course in the hope that I will at least be able to have the paper evidence of my degree. For now, I am going to go for a walk to try to get rid of my grumps, since I can't do anything else about the situation!

Oh mate - I can completely see why you're peed off about this - it must be really disappointing.

I think some fresh air is the right idea... (and if its any consolation, that hat and gown are frickin' uncomfortable anyway :))

I am righteously indignant on your behalf, because that is not cool. I had a friend that hadn't even completed her degree yet, and they still let her walk at graduation.

Saying a little prayer that the head tutor person is able to work a miracle! You deserve it!

First off - thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. Means alot and helped cheer me up.

I hate when I have the case of the grumps. And they are definitely warranted - I would be pissed if I was you as well. That just sucks. I am sorry - so frustrating.

Just read your other post and it looks delish! I"ve never heard of wrapping something in leeks but yum it looks so good!!

Oh no! that really does suck!

Its also totally unfair. Have you contacted the advice centre in your students union (there should be one) or the advice centre in the college? You should complain and see what they do about it-- and just dont take no for an answer.

Hope things improve!

Girlies, I emailed the head lecturer for my course, and he' sorting stuff out. I may have to wait to graduate still, but by next month I will have my degree 'on paper'. The person I dealt with originally was the dean of the school of education, who has since resigned.I get the feeling she resigned to prevent being fired. In the past few terms, she has dropped the ball on alot of things, and I suppose one of them was me!
